Service Description

MakePDFSearchable.com provides optical character recognition (OCR) processing for PDF documents. We add a searchable text layer to scanned PDFs so they can be searched, selected, and copied.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload files you do not have the right to process
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to process illegal content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the service
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission

File Retention

All uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours. It is your responsibility to download processed files before they expire. We are not liable for files that are not retrieved in time.

OCR Accuracy

OCR is provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive for high accuracy, we do not guarantee that all text will be recognized correctly. Results depend on scan quality, language, and document formatting. You should review processed documents for critical use cases.

Page Credits & Refunds

Paid page credits never expire. Pages are deducted when a batch is claimed. If a file has been previously processed (duplicate), no additional credits are charged. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at hi@makepdfsearchable.com.

Limitation of Liability

MakePDFSearchable.com is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss, OCR inaccuracies, or service interruptions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
